If I could be anywhere in the world right now, at this very instant, I think I would choose Tuscany. Though I've never been, I imagine cool, crisp mornings, sun-drenched afternoons, and golden evenings as the sun sets over the mountains. Maybe I have a fairytale idea of what Tuscany embodies, presented to me by Vogue, but who wouldn't want to imagine themselves running down a shaded path in a flowy dress, amidst groomed gardens, the whole world at the horizon, bathed in sunlight? I know I would!

The Beginning

So, I have no idea where to start, but here it goes... Well I've thought about creating a blog for a long time, but tonight I finally jumped on it. Maybe I'll regret it in the morning, who knows. I guess I was in a sort of spontaneous mood this evening, most likely resulting from a somewhat dull day. I wanted to create a place for me to come and let myself unravel. Somewhere far away from the push and pull of everyday life. A place where I could just come and be me in front of whatever audience wants to listen. Almost a sort of diary where I can come to release my inspirations, my passions, joys, sorrows, anything that I feel like sharing. I don't know if the connection of the name with all of this will make any kind of sense to you, but "royaume" means kingdom in French and it was just one of those words that was just too delicious to forget when I first learned it in my freshman year French class. The way it rolls of the tongue, the way the letters stand proud and strong, I guess it just fit the meaning and the word in itself was a work of art to me. My notebook that year, I recall was covered with the word written throughout the pages in my finest script. But anyway, besides the poetic feel of the word (to me, at least), the meaning, "kingdom" embodies what I hope this blog will become to me. An escape of all my own creation, where the sky is the limit, and the story is my own.

I'm not completely certain as to what I will be posting. Most likely anything that I feel inspired to include. To put it vaguely. I'm sure, however that there will be ramblings such as this and pictures. Maybe fashion... music... art... literature... faith and anything else that comes to mind. I hope that this will be of some entertainment to my future followers and that you will be able to enjoy what I post. So without further ado, I'm off to get this started!
